About this item

  • TRADITIONAL MICHIGAN PATTERN – Originating in Michigan, this classic double bit shape offers proven performance for general utility and woodcutting.
  • HIGH CARBON STEEL HEAD - Crafted from durable high carbon steel and hand-sharpened for a tapered bit, this axe is made in the USA for reliable cutting and splitting in tough conditions, ensuring long-lasting performance and precision.
  • VERSATILE EDGE GEOMETRY – Historically sharpened with one fine edge for clean cuts and one blunt edge for rougher work near knots or dirt—this model features uniform sharpening for balanced use.
  • AMERICAN HICKORY HANDLE - Made from tough, straight-grain American hickory, the handle offers excellent balance and control for close-quarters use, with a low moisture content to reduce shrinkage and ensure a secure fit.
  • RUST-RESISTANT HEAD - The axe head is heat-treated for durability, then coated with red enamel and clear lacquer on the cutting edges to prevent rust, ensuring long-lasting protection and optimal performance.
